Yes, deviantART was one of the main reasons why I took art back up again after 10 years without drawing even a line.

~Strutt3R was the original =ireal70 account creator (not me XD). 4,5 years ago, after showing him few drawings I had in this old school notebook [link] and few comic pages I did when I was 12 years old, this friend of mine encouraged me a lot and told me: "c'mon, join this site, use this account to show your art, it's a pity you left art, you should take it back up once again, cheer up!"
And... here I am! I took art back up again, but this time digital art (you know, when I was a kid I didn't even have a pc at home). The first time I was curious about digital art was thanks to ~KaroruMetallium's pictures that I found in her Xelloss' Altar forum website. I met her in that forum and I noticed that she also had a dA account. One evening, ~Strutt3R tought me some photoshop basics and voilà, I did the rest little by little to date. I started posting here few old pictures, and your comments and support encouraged me and increased my interest and passion for this hobby again gradually. Who would've told me that Art would become such an important part of my life again and my top favorite hobby after 10 years? I'm very happy in this place and I can't help but visiting dA everyday, thanks to all your support I'm still here ^^

This is why I finally joined this project when I accidentally found the journal announcement, because this site was part of the reasons why I still draw, and it wouldn't have been possible without dA staff's work. No words could ever express how grateful I feel

Oh mai, I'm sooo gratefull for your friends, that they told you to get back to drawing!! If not anyone would never see such awesome pictures! O_O That would be a very big waste...
And I know what you mean, I keep checking dA everyday for 6 months, just for people who cares about me. : P
