I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to SASORI, one of my favourite Naruto characters, featuring and promoting the best Sasori fanart around deviantART that I've found and considered to date
WHO IS SASORI?
Akasuna No Sasori was an S-rank missing-ninja from Sunagakure's Puppet Brigade and a member of Akatsuki, a criminal organization.
Sasori grew up in a sad and lonely environment due to the absence of parental love. His mother and father were killed by Sakumo Hatake (Kakashi's father) in battle, leaving him in the care of his grandmother, Chiyo. She introduced her grandson to the art of puppetry. He eventually created puppets in the likeness of his parents, but when he realised that the puppets couldn't give him the actual love that he desired, he became aloof and nihilistic.
This led to his maintaining little regard for human life. However, motivated by his desire to make works that last forever, Sasori began experimenting to create puppets out of people. Twenty years before his introduction in the series, he left Sunagakure, his village.
Sasori's ambition was to become an exquisite piece of art himself by turning his body into one of his own puppet works, because he thought art is something wonderful that's left long into the future. He transferred his heart into this puppet body to increase his own offensive capabilities and prolong his life.
:lulletpurple: A couple of years before the actual story, he secretly kidnapped the Third Kazekage and made him into one of his human puppets. Some time after leaving his village, Sasori joined the Akatsuki organization. He was partnered with Orochimaru (who left the Akatsuki after his failed attempt to take Itachi Uchiha's body) and later, Deidara. Orochimaru and Sasori shared their desire of an everlasting existence. However, Deidara and Sasori had conflicting views on art, and they frequently argued about their differing perspectives.
